First released in 2016, the TransAcoustic Guitar is an innovative acoustic guitar that features Yamaha’s TransAcoustic technology, which combines authentic acoustic sound with digital technology for advanced features. Best of all, TransAcoustic Guitars can add effects to your playing without needing any external amplifier or cablesjust the guitar itself. String vibrations are converted into electrical signals, which go through effects processing before being delivered to actuators inside the guitar. Vibrations generated by the actuators are then transmitted to the guitar body to produce the desired effects. The actual and processed sounds resonate together and radiate from within the guitar body to produce natural sound with rich effects. TransAcoustic Guitars have been praised for offering an acoustic guitar playing experience like never before.

As the second-generation model of the TransAcoustic Guitar line, the TAG3 C features the next evolution of the original TransAcoustic Guitar features. The cutaway dreadnought body is well-suited to powerful strokes and features a solid Sitka spruce top and a solid mahogany back and sides. With an extra, newly improved actuator (two total), the guitars also offer even higher-quality effects, along with built-in looper functionality. A new Delay effect has been added to the original Reverb and Chorus, for a total of three available effects. Looper functionality stimulates creativity by giving players the ability to record their own sound and play it back in a loop, allowing them to layer phrases while playing. Players can use the TAG Remote app to adjust the output of these effects. New Bluetooth audio capability also lets the user connect a smart device and play audio through the guitar body. The TAG3 C is an all-in-one instrument that covers the full breadth of the musical creative process: listening, playing, and creating.

Bluetooth Support

The TAG3 C model comes equipped with Bluetooth, allowing you to connect your smart devices and play your favorite songs directly through the guitar. The sound is transmitted via actuators within the guitar, producing a rich, realistic sound that brings your music to life.

Built-in Effects

Two actuators inside the guitar respond to the vibrations of the strings, transmitting those vibrations to the body and the air around it. The result? Authentic reverb, chorus and delay effects that radiate organically from the guitar itself, immersing you in a rich sonic experience.

Built-In Looper

With the onboard looper, you can effortlessly record and play back your performances. You can also layer melodies over backing tracks or create unique beats by tapping the guitar. The creative possibilities are endless.

Rechargeable Battery

TAG3 C features a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery with a magnetic charging connection, giving you up to 5.5 hours of play time.

Simple Controls

Four streamlined buttons control the effects, looper, and Bluetooth pairing. Plus, a sound hole dial lets you easily adjust the line-out volume. Designed to occupy minimal space, these controls reduce acoustic sound loss, preserving the guitar’s rich tone.

Mobile Editior

With the “TAG Remote” app, compatible with both iOS and Android, you can fine-tune effects and manage loop phrases directly from your smart deviceputting total control at your fingertips.
