Stereo Precision The Yamaha DSU50 Stereo Condenser Microphone and Trigger Pickup
Yamahas uniquely designed drum microphone is built specifically to capture the natural sound of an acoustic drum kit. The improved DSU50 sensor attaches to virtually any acoustic bass drum hoop and may also be mounted to a microphone, camera, or lighting stand with 3/8 inch threading for even more flexibility when capturing a high-quality stereo image of your entire kit.
Beyond its role as a microphone, the DSU50 also includes a dedicated kick-trigger. This converts each bass-drum strike into a precise trigger signal for the EAD50 module, letting you layer samples in perfect sync with your acoustic playing. The DSU50 connects using XLR cables, making it compatible with a variety of signal processors, amplifiers and loudspeaker systems. With the ability to produce a crisp and clean drum sound plus the ability to add effects or layer triggered sounds on top of the mic signal by using triggers or pads, the DSU50 is ideal for live performance, streaming, or music production.
