This is high-quality wire, it is a pleasure to work with. Cheap PVC-insulated wire melts back when you solder it – which is a pain – but this wire doesn’t, it holds up to heat very well, and it’s easy to strip.

The wire is made of copper. It’s 22 AWG 7/30, meaning it’s seven strands of 30 AWG wire twisted together, so the overall wire gauge is 22 AWG.
