Tama brought their hardware engineering expertise to microphone stands, and it shows. The Iron Works Studio MS756BK features solid-core iron boom and tripod legs no hollow tubing that flexes under the weight of a heavy condenser mic. A steel multi-plate compression tilter holds position without creeping.
The telescoping boom extends from about 20″ to 33″, and the overall height ranges from 38″ to 65″. The counterweight is removable and the boom is reversible for left-handed setups. A POM rod stopper (tougher than the nylon found on cheaper stands) minimizes wobble. If you’re tired of stands that sag or drift, this is the upgrade. Base diameter: 23.8″.
