Here is the new and very exciting 7-string incarnation of the very successful PRS Mark Holcomb signature model, dubbed the SE Mark Holcomb SVN. The SVN comes in two versions; one with the Holcomb Burst finish over a quilt maple veneer, and this guitar with a classy walnut veneer and an all-satin finish for a super smooth feel. When Periphery needs to go the extra mile of tuning low Mark reaches for this SVN both in the studio and on stage for adding that extra B-string. The guitar has an extra inch in the scale length to make it a 26.5 scale which helps for down tuning and keeping the tension on the lowest string in check, that it doesnt flub out. More specs for fast playing include a 20 radius ebony fretboard and a Wide Thin neck profile. The guitar also has Marks own Alpha/Omega signature humbucker set from Seymour Duncan loaded in right out of the box! My SE SVN has become the perfect counterpart to my SE six-string, and an absolute mainstay in Peripherys live rig. Its designed to be aggressive but its core features allow it to be diverse enough to handle clean and mid-gain tones just as effectively.
