This is a very lightly used and in excellent condition 7-string incarnation of the very successful PRS Mark Holcomb signature model, dubbed the SE Mark Holcomb SVN. The SVN comes in two versions; one with a classy walnut veneer and an all-satin finish for a super smooth feel, and this one with a glossy Holcomb Burst finish (keeping the neck satin). When Periphery needs to go the extra mile of tuning low Mark reaches for this SVN both in the studio and on stage for adding that extra B-string. The guitar has an extra inch in the scale length to make it a 26.5 scale which helps for down tuning and keeping the tension on the lowest string in check, that it doesnt flub out. More specs for fast playing include a 20 radius ebony fretboard and a Wide Thin neck profile. The guitar also has Marks own Alpha/Omega signature humbucker set from Seymour Duncan loaded in right out of the box! My SE SVN has become the perfect counterpart to my SE six-string, and an absolute mainstay in Peripherys live rig. Its designed to be aggressive but its core features allow it to be diverse enough to handle clean and mid-gain tones just as effectively.
