PRS Guitars acquired over 150 curly maple tops from trees found near a graveyard on the East Coast, with the trees being at least 130 years old. The wood closely resembles the maple used in 1959 Kalamazoo guitars. These tops feature extraordinary flame and an iridescent quality, making them suitable for PRS Private Stock quality instruments.

To turn this finding into a truly original, special and tone crazy PS-PRS the design was kept relatively simple and ALL the efforts went into the materials. Brazilian Rosewood, that Holy Grail of tone woods was used throughout : the headstock cover, the fret board and even the neck itself – giving a guitar that sounds like nothing else in the Private Stock stable with Playability and Tone absolutely at the forefront

PRS created this ultra limited edition McCarty 594 Graveyard Limited guitar with vintage-inspired specs, including red abalone birds and a headstock eagle, curly maple binding, and a thin, vintage nitro Honey Gold with Dark Cherry Smoked Burst finish.

Already limited to only 80 pieces due to the scarcity of the wood, people just dont sell these as theyve become sought after collectors editions – to find one in almost brand new condition is incredible and at this price , truly amazing. Its the Art of Guitar
