Up for sale is this great Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling! Not to be confused with the “budget priced” Sterling brand of today, this Sterling is a US-made model that Music Man did for a bit.
The bass has a smaller body and neck profile, which is what drew a lot of players to it. We definitely can see why! It’s super comfortable to play. The body is a selected hardwood with a 22-fret maple neck with a slim profile. This4-string bass gives you plenty of low end goodness. It features a powerful ceramic humbucker with hum-canceling phantom coil and a 9-V active 3-band EQ preamp with a 3-position pickup selector switch. This electronics configuration gives you access to plenty of sounds, whether it’s a brighter more midrange growl or thick sub bass tone, this bass can do it all.
We were also taken aback at how cool the finish is – it’s called Pearl Blue, and it’s a stunner.
Any Music Man bass is the real deal, and this is a somewhat rarely found model. The bass is in great condition and comes with a hardshell case. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly. It’s a sweet score!
