The Midas HUB4 PRO is the essential multi-tool in any stage rack, providing analogue and digital outputs for a wide range of monitoring and routing applications. Built in a rugged 1U chassis and designed for reliable integration, HUB4 PRO supplies PoE power and audio to up to four DP48 personal monitor mixers (or compatible stage boxes), collects upstream audio back to FOH, and adds flexible routing via AES50 and StageConnect.

Personal Monitoring with DP48

HUB4 PRO can supply up to four DP48 personal monitor mixers with PoE (Power over Ethernet) and 48 channels of 24-bit/48 kHz audio, or 2x 24 channels at 96 kHz. HUB4 PRO also collects 48 channels of upstream audio and forwards this audio to the FOH console, either from stage boxes connected to the AES50-B (THRU) port or 8 return channels from each of Ports 14.

Cascading Hubs for Large Setups

For larger monitoring rigs, HUB4 PRO can be daisy-chained to add more DP48 portsscaling from standard band setups all the way to demanding, high-channel-count productions.

HUB4 PRO can also help expand I/O across a single AES50 link to the console. Digital stage boxes such as the Midas DL16 or DL32 can be connected to the HUB4 PRO AES50 (THRU) port, allowing downstream signals to reach stage outputs while the console receives up to 48 channels upstream from stage inputs via HUB4 PRO.

Analog Outputs for IEM Transmitters

HUB4 PRO provides 16 balanced line-level outputs for carrying stereo mixes from connected DP48 mixers directly to IEM transmitters in the side rack. This reduces setup time and improves reliability by eliminating extra analog runs from personal mixers to transmitters. These analogue outputs can also be used as spare outputs on stage receiving signals from the FOH consolefor example, talkback, side fill, or utility sends.

StageConnect Interface

The StageConnect interface adds powerful routing flexibility in, out, and through the HUB4 PRO. Using a single standard XLR cable, you can expand total I/O by up to 32 channels of low-latency 24-bit audio. Add a Midas DN4816-O to output 16 impedance-balanced line signals in the side rack, or connect a DN4816-I to bring up to 16 wireless receiver channels upstream to the mixing console. A DN4816-U can bridge USB audio with Ultranet and StageConnect in a compact, rugged DI-style box.

Support from Midas M32 and Heritage D Series Consoles

HUB4 PRO can convey control messages from M32 FOH consoles to DP48 personal mixers, and also pass remote control messages between DP48 units. Supported control information includes assignments, channel names, and colors transmitted over AES50 for faster configuration and consistent personal mixer setupswhether DP48 units are connected to Ports 14 or connected through daisy-chained hubs.

Midas DL8 PoE Powered Stage Boxes

HUB4 PRO interfaces with the Midas DL8 stage box using a single shielded CAT5e cable. HUB4 PRO can directly power up to four stage boxes via PoE support (IEEE 802.3at per port), helping eliminate bulky analog sub-snakes and keeping analog runs on stage shorter and cleaner.
