Now available in Onyx Black, along with Stallion White – this is the next evolution of Vai’s Ibanez style. Designed in collaboration with Steve Vai, the Ibanez Steve Vai PIA3761 is a sonically versatile, high-performance solidbody electric guitar.
It features a balanced-sounding alder body the tonal basis for some of the most enduring pieces of contemporary music. Enjoy super-fast playability, courtesy of a 5-piece PIA neck with Ibanezs Prestige fret end treatment, while DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups deliver maximum impact and power. An Edge tremolo supplies twisting, bending, and dive-bombing with reliable intonation. The PIA3761 boasts Steve Vais trademark appointments, including a redesigned Petal “Monkey” Grip exclusively designed for this guitar giving a balanced and contemporary aeshetic – symbolising unity, companionship and interpersonal bonds, as well as the elegant and eye-catching PIA Blossom fingerboard inlay.
In line with Steve’s style, this guitar was designed with effortless playability – utilising one of Ibanezs fastest necks to date, the 5-piece PIA neck on the Steve Vai PIA3761 is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lightning-fast runs and arpeggios with ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for grabbing chords when you need to. Whats more, the PIA3761 has received Ibanez’s Prestige fret-end treatment. This essentially rounds off the edges of the frets, making the PIA3761’s fretboard feel even more fluid. From the first time you put your hands on the PIA3761s PIA neck, youll know youve got a guitar that was built for performance.
A trio of DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups in the HSH configuration will give you massive tonal range loaded in – with the Edge tremolo bridge and ground-breaking Lion’s Claw tremolo cavity allow for rapidly increasing and lowering pitch with dramatic range and an intense voice. The neck position humbucker will give warmer, richer tone, while the bridge humbucker is a lead pickup for a enhanced midrange output when you need to push. The Steve Vai PIA3761’s Edge tremolo was designed by Ibanez to give you the fast tremolo response with stability which is why it is a staple for today’s top shredders.
Thinking of everything a player needs, this guitar is also the introduction of a new magnetic tremolo cavity plate – allowing for quick removal and reinstallation when changing strings or adjusting the system.
