In 1968 Gibson introduced the Gibson Blue Ridge Acoustic Guitar, it was square shouldered flat top made in natural finish, had laminated rosewood back and sides, maple on the inside, 16 1/4″ wide, adjustable rosewood saddle, in 1979 they were discontinued.
The Blue Ridge model was reintroduced in1989as a round shouldered dreadnought, triple bound top and ended production again in1990. The Gibson Blue Ridge guitar is simple looking, has an overall good sound, rich bass and bright highs.
