Gibson 1950 Super 400C, Sunburst

Here’s one for the books! Built in very limited numbers, the Super 400 was the most high end and deluxe appointment archtop guitar Gibson made at the time. A whopping 18″ lower bout, this model was meant for the most serious player. Carved spruce top, solid maple back/sides & parallel braced, the Super 400 is all about filling a room. This particular example is a bit different, setup with flatwounds and equipped with a Dearmond Rhythm Chief pickup. Regardless, it has a lovely acoustic quality. It is in remarkable condition with no cracks or repairs. It is mostly original minus a replaced bridge and a rebound pickguard. Serial #A5515, comes with the original case. Weighs 7lbs.
