The Fox name has long been synonymous with great quality among bassoons and oboes. The American made Renard 222 is an all maple constructed bassoon that is great for the beginning to the advancing player. The Renard 222 was modeled off of the Model II and has the following features:
- Select aged maple body
- German, white synthetic ivory bell ring
- Lining in the wing and small bore of the boot
- Nickel silver water tubes extending into the bore
- Body Lock
- Full German key system with silver-plating
- Rollers for right little finger F and Ab
- Roller for left little finger Eb and Db
- Short-reach left hand third finger plateau key
- High D key
- Two C Bocals: #2 and #3 lengths
- Premium case with both shoulder and backpack straps
- Neck and Seat straps
