This Fender Jazz Bass, Crafted in Japan, is a beautifully smooth and fast-playing fretless that offers classic Jazz Bass feel with a more expressive edge. Originally built as a fretted Jazz Bass, it has since been professionally converted to fretless, resulting in an instrument that feels effortless under the fingers with a very low, comfortable action.
The neck is sleek and responsive, making slides, vibrato, and nuanced phrasing feel natural and controlled. Tonally, it delivers everything youd expect from a Jazz Basswarm lows, articulate mids, and plenty of claritywhile the fretless board adds that unmistakable singing quality.
Cosmetically, there are some visible signs at the end of the fingerboard where the tangs of the original frets met the fret slots. These small divots are visible in the photos and are purely cosmetic; they do not affect playability, feel, or performance in any way.
Finished in a very cool translucent green, this bass has plenty of visual character to match its sound. It comes housed in a gig bag, as shown in the photos.
