One of the most notorious of Music Zoo builds, this is our Exclusive “Hacksaw Relic”. A 1957 Stratocaster Masterbuilt by Kyle McMillen with a Super Faded Aged Black finish that’s beat to hell and back with a very wild look to it.
What’s a Hacksaw Relic? We’ve all seen those funky pawn shop finds. Vintage guitars that have been modded to hell and back, with different pickups, changed wiring, a new set of tuners. Every once in a while, there’s a diamond in the rough that’s a fantastic player. We wanted to see what would happen if we took that concept to the Fender Custom Shop, and they’ve knocked it out of the park.
This ’57 features a HS pickup configuration; there’s a handwound El Diablo pickup in the neck with a Sonic Pickups Smoke House humbucker in the bridge position.
