Faith Nomad guitars still use solid tonewoods for the top, back and sides of each instrument. ensuring the tonal richness for which Faith are known. And to finish the whole thing off, each Nomad guitar comes complete in a specially made gigbag.
Faith Nomad guitars are equipped with a Fishman Sonicore Pickup and Isys T preamp.
The Importance of Body Shape
Based upon the scaled-down dimensions of our Baby-Jumbo, thisNomad Mini-Neptuneis incrediblycomfortable and easy to play,sitting perfectly whether on the knee or equipped with a strap. The Nomads are short scale acoustic guitars, with the neck joining the body at the 12thfret, designed to bethe perfect travel companion.
Which tonewoods are used and why?
Trembesiwood has long been sought after by furniture manufacturers for itsmagnificent beauty and stunning variety of patterns, but we’ve more recently been persuaded of its tonal capabilities too.
A good Trembesi instrument, like Hawaiian Koa,behaves similarly to Mahogany, offeringwarmth and balancethroughout the strings but with the addition of a little moresparkle at the high-end.
How does it all come together?
By using solid mahogany for the whole body, this Nomad canresonate coherentlydelivering aplucky, feisty tone. In this mini-baby-jumbo guise, the overall volume will not be as loud as a full sized Neptune, but themids cut throughbrilliantly. Andwhen amplified, its smaller dimensions are undetectable. The fittings of the Nomad guitars fingerboard, headplate, bridge, etc are still made ofsolid Ebony. So even though the guitar may bephysically lightweight, the Nomad is far from light on quality.
The Electronics:
This Nomad is equipped with aFishman Presys 1 preampsystem and anundersaddle piezo pickupstrip. This elegant solution is supereasy to use, with an easy-to-readbuilt-in tuner, contourEQ control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob. The output is located at the base of the guitar, integrated with the strap button.
