The ART PDB is a rugged, single-channel passive direct box designed to connect unbalanced instrument, line, or speaker signals to balanced inputs on mixers, audio interfaces, or PA systems. With transformer isolation, switchable attenuation, and a ground lift switch, it delivers a clean, reliable signal path on stage and in the studiono power required.

Passive DI for Clean, Balanced Signals

The PDB converts unbalanced high-impedance signals from instruments, line-level devices, or even speaker outputs into balanced, low-impedance signals. This allows you to run longer cable distances without added noise and to interface easily with professional mic preamps, mixers, and recording systems.

Flexible Connectivity and Level Control

A 1/4″ TS input feeds both a transformer-isolated XLR output and a parallel 1/4″ Thru jack, so you can send a clean signal to the front-of-house or recording rig while still driving your stage amp. The switchable attenuation pad (0 dB, -20 dB, -40 dB) lets you match everything from passive instruments to hot line or speaker-level outputs.

Housed in a tough steel case, the PDB is built to survive the wear and tear of live performance and frequent transport. The passive design means there are no batteries or power supplies to worry aboutjust plug in, set your pad and ground lift, and youre ready to go.
