The Ferrari 360, introduced in 1999, marked a significant chapter in Ferrari’s history and design evolution. It succeeded the F355 and brought about notable advancements in performance, handling, and styling. Designed by Pininfarina, the 360 featured a more aerodynamic and modern look, departing from some of the classic design elements seen in its predecessors. Under the hood, the 3.6-liter V8 engine produced a thrilling soundtrack, and the introduction of an aluminum space-frame chassis contributed to a lighter and more rigid structure, enhancing overall performance. The adoption of the F1-style automated manual transmission, known as the “F1” gearbox, showcased Ferrari’s commitment to Formula 1 technology trickling down to their road cars.
The Modena trim of the Ferrari 360, named after the company’s hometown, was offered in both coupe (Berlinetta) and convertible (Spider) forms. The design of the Modena trim, both inside and out, epitomized the perfect balance between race-inspired engineering and daily drivability.
