Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Stratocaster model ST650-SPL in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An early and rare Fender Japan model made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market at the Fujigen factory, the ST650-SPL was only offered from 1988-92, largely mirroring the specs of Fenders American Standard model with identical tonewoods and Schaller-made hardware.
Featuring an alder body and maple neck capped with a 22-fret thick slab rosewood fingerboard, this Strat has a snappy, lively acoustic profile. The trio of alnico magnet single coils deliver plenty of Strat sparkle, with a distinct and clear tone in all positions on the five-way switch. Weighing 7lbs 15oz, this Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mikes Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.
