Up for sale, a 1988 Fender Order Made Jazz Bass model JB62-70 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order with a custom color Charcoal Burst finish. This rare Made in Japan Jazz Bass was produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, and the Order Made program offered a bevy of non-catalog finish and component options.
Lightweight at 8lbs 1oz with an American Basswood body, the pair of single coil pickups deliver a range of midrange-forward Jazz Bass tonalities, with plenty of burp and articulate growl, a clear treble response, and thick thump with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. This Order Made Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mikes Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The dark streaking in the gloss custom color Charcoal Burst finish is extremely well-preserved, highlighting the grain of the American basswood body. There is vertical checking and shallow buckle wear on the back, with some minor dings and finish scratches consistent with light use. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile highlights subtle flame figuring in the maple.
A Fender-branded gigbag is included.
