It’s always very cool to run into early Fender American Vintage guitars which were made in the original Fullerton factory, there’s just something about them that feel full of Fender history and heritage. This is a 1982 (the first year of American Vintage production!) ’57 Strat with a maple neck and beautifully aged Olympic White finish. For a guitar that’s over 40 years old it’s still in excellent condition with just small dings around the body – nothing of which breaks the finish. The guitar does have moderate fretwear and the original frets are quite low. It’s due for either a fret level or a refret if you prefer frets of any other size. Despite their low profile, there are no notes choking out. The guitar includes the original tweed case with a Fender strap and some paperwork from that era, however it is missing the tremolo arm.
