The Gibson Les Paul 25/50Anniversarymodel – introduced in 1978 – was created tocommemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Les Paul Model and 50 years of Les Paul being in show-business. There were just over 3,400 examples made and shipped through late 1979, and features a 5 piece maple neck, gold and chrome hardware, coil tapmini switch, andmost importantly: the 25/50 inlay on the headstock, all of which combineto give Les Paul model its own identity.
This example, finished in Tobacco Sunburst, is in excellent condition and displaying only minimal honest player wearwith afew small dings. The gold hardware has held up nicely and shows almost no oxidation, and the maple top is understatedwith a beautiful wide figureand great character.Plus, you get great tone out of those twin Tarback Humbuckers!
