The Sennheiser MKH 40-P48 Pressure Gradient Microphone is especially suitable for lightly reverberant or acoustically less perfect rooms. Symmetrical transducer technology ensures extremely low distortion. The MKH 40-P48 is a cardioid RF condenser microphone. The microphone has exceptionally low inherent self-noise combined with high sensitivity, which makes it a great compensator in normally inhibitive rooms. It has a switchable roll-off filter to compensate for proximity effects at a distance of approx. 0.5 m as well as switchable pre-attenuation. It comes with a shock mount and a windscreen.
