What are the advantages of geared pegs?
One of the most complex and often frustrating aspects of learning a string instrument is learning how to accurately and effectively tune. The Wittner geared pegs remove many of the difficulties associated with traditional wedge-style pegs because they work using internal gears instead of relying on the friction of the peg against the pegbox to hold in place. Wittners Finetune pegs are capable of precise, incremental adjustments and require very little force to turn, making them a good choice for both children or those with fine motor issues, but theyre a great fit for anyone who would like to spend less time tuning and more time making music!
