Gibson SJN / Country Western Acoustic/Electric – year 1969

Owned by a wizard, a warrior, or perhaps both. There is some magic power with this road beast. Sounds amazing and looks killer. Now for the important bits > it’s had a headstock repair and shows obvious signs of ageing. Tuners have been changed long ago. Looks like John Lennon tried to mod it like his own, and then forgot where to put the vol and tone knobs…hmmm…. Comes with a later period hard case. I love this one 🙂

The Gibson Country Western / SJN model from the mid-to-late 1960s was a rather profound departure from the original model. These guitars featured a more Martin-like square shoulder body shape, and in 1963 had a plastic bridge, many of which have been replaced for better sound. The rosewood bridge was reintroduced in 1964.
