This is a very lightly used and still in overall excellent condition 2024 Alex Lifeson Lerxst Limelight guitar with the Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge option. This one is signed by Alex Lifeson himself on the back of the headstock and includes the original case and tremolo arm!
The story of the Limelight starts in the early 1980s with the iconic Moving Pictures album: Alex Lifeson needed a guitar to execute his expanding sonic ideas and resulted in the creation of the Hentor Sportscaster. These were highly modified S-style guitars that became synonymous with Rush and Alex’s playing in the 1980s.
To bring these guitars back to life, Alex’s brand Lerxst has teamed up with the Canadian guitar company Godin to create the new Limelight guitar. Ahead of the release of the iconic Moving Pictures album, Lifeson sought a fresh instrument to bring to life his increasingly expansive sonic ideas. His desire for versatile tonality within an intuitive form factor resulted in the creation of the original Hentor Sportscasters highly modified S-Type guitars that became synonymous with Alexs sounds and guitar style in the 1980s.
