This is a lightly used and in excellent condition Taylor 722ce Grand Concert! With the solid-koa 700 Series, Taylor’s master-designer Andy Powers has embraced Hawaiian koa’s natural beauty and tonal characteristics in a fresh way that brings something unique to the Taylor lineup.
In partnership with sustainable tonewood harvesting, Taylor has found a source of koa that has rich colors and unique striping, and wanted to use this wood that hasn’t been presented in guitar making before in a new way: giving the woods its own new series gives respect to the natural resource and also makes for a great playing experience! The guitars all feature a thin open-pore finish that retains the natural texture of the wood and there’s a slightly altered back bracing which is different from the Koa Series. It gives the 700 Series a livelier, punchier, and more-direct response!
Unique cosmetic appointments on the Koa 700 series include new “Fountain” design mother of pearl fretboard and headstock overlays, Indian rosewood body binding, a single-ring paua/rosewood rosette and Taylor polished bronze tuners!
