A rare and decidedly unique Made in Japan Stratocaster, this model features a double bound semi-hollow mahogany body and a very slender, fast-feeling maple neck capped by a bound (and very dark) rosewood fingerboard with block inlay.
Weighing 7lbs 8oz, this instrument offers plenty of fundamental warmth and body beyond the typical acoustic properties of a Stratocaster. The DiMarzio Area 61 pickups are wound to be steely, yet woody-sounding, hum-cancelling and designed to minimize magnet pull. The result is a dynamic and lively set of early ’60s-style Fender tonalities coupled to a five-way pickup selector.
