‘The False Lover Won Back’ is another star-crossed relationship, this time sporting a surprise happy ending. Melodically, there are two verse forms: the short and the long. The short verse simply omits bar 9 through the 6/4 bar, jumping right to the last three bars, and finishing the same as the long verse.
