Up for sale, a 1963 National Westwood 77 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. An uncommon top-of-the-line Valco-built National model, the Westwood 77 features a unique body shaped like the contiguous United States, played by a real whos who of Valco appreciators including Dan Auerbach and David Bowie.

The mahogany body is essentially chambered on the back, enabling this Westwood 77 to offer a distinct barking acoustic resonance, weighing just 7lbs 8oz. This guitar boasts two stunning sounding Supro Vista-Sound oversized single coil pickups, with an additional hidden pickup located *inside* the compensated wooden bridge. This third Silver-Sound pickup (colloquially referred to under the Val-Trol moniker itself) was designed to deliver the acoustic-style tones of an archtop jazzbox. With Volume and Tone controls adjacent to each pickup, the Westwood is a rare and versatile tone machine, with a trio of distinct tones from the pickups that range from shimmering, acoustic-esque clean, to overwound single coil punch, to smooth, mellow jazz tones at the neck. This Westwood 77 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with low action, 11-49 strings, and optimal intonation.
