Matching the specifications of Gibsons Joe Perry signature Black Burst, this Burny features black hardware, no binding, and a white pearloid pickguard and matching truss rod cover.
Traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, lightly figured two-piece carved maple top, and a one-piece mahogany neck capped by a rosewood fretboard, yielding plenty of rich sustain and a lively, detailed overarching quality thats faithfully captured by the stock pair of VH-1 humbuckers. These second generation VH-1s meter in the mid-8k ohms range, offering plenty of growl and detail, handling gain well for thick rhythmic crunch and singing solos. The clear coat on the gloss See-Through Black finish shows subtle yellowing, highlighting the flame figuring in the carved maple top.
