We just took in a true winner of a guitar, this super clean PRS S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut. It’s an inconic guitar, in a great color known as Black Amber.
The American made S2 McCarty 594 is a versatile, vintage-inspired instrument that delivers both humbucking and single-coil tones in a modern, reliable package. Featuring a bound 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck and slightly thicker back for more sustain, the S2 McCarty 594 feels and sounds like a guitar youve been playing forever. A zinc two-piece bridge and vintage-style tuners anchor this guitar and stay true to the promise of the McCarty family.
The S2 McCarty 594 is equipped with 58/15 LT pickups made in Maryland, USA. This model offers a warm, vintage-inspired tone that can expertly handle both authentic humbucking sounds and delicate, sweet single-coil tones. Its versatile sonic capabilities are due to the combination of pickups and the layout featuring dual volume and push/pull tone controls.
This 2024 PRS S2 has been refreshed with American-made pickups and electronics. Additionally, the Vintage-Style tuners have been updated with a sleek new “Wing” button. These buttons were intentionally designed to not only mirror the bird wingspan design at the 12th fret but also to enhance the guitar’s tone. Due to their lighter weight, they do not dampen the strings’ vibrations as much, allowing for a longer and more harmonious sustain.
This guitar is in excellent condition – it came to us to from one our favorites sources that brings us a lot of gear, all of it super clean. In fact, this one came from Truetone originally, owned for a short time and only played a few times.
