Here is a stunning Bourgeois Signature D from 2011! This Dreadnought features Brazilian rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, and hide glue construction. It’s in excellent condition.
Additionally this guitar was constructed with an ebony fingerboard, DB Signature herringbone purfling, fossilized ivory squares & diamonds inlay pattern, and Brazilian rosewood binding. It is a long scale guitar with a 1 23/32″ nut width.
This instrument has a pickup installed with three contacts adhered to the bridge plate and a 1/8″ jack in the endpin. It looks like a K&K but see the interior image. Additionally we’re used to seeing the DB Signatures with Waverly tuners with wooden buttons, but this guitar has a set of open gear Gotohs on it. The guitar is in excellent shape. It has some pick marks on the guard, as well as a few faint dings and surface marks from handling. There is a notable ding on the top behind the bridge towards the edge that is about 1/2 the size of a dime. Otherwise the guitar looks quite clean.
It weighs 4lbs 10oz. The neck measures .810 to .920 at the 1st and 9th frets. It’s a nice oval C shape with a hint of a V apex down low. It has a wonderful tone that is open and dynamic. It has clarity, and presence about it, along with a round bass nice and clear treble. Bourgeois is one of our favorite boutique builders, the guitars just have such a pure acoustic tone about them and this D is no exception.
Ships in a Crossrock carbon fiber case and includes the original end pin as well as a 1/8″ to 1/4″ converter cable.
