Here we have a 2016 Martin OMC-18E acoustic-electric guitar! This guitar is in very good shape with a couple of minor repairs.
This model features mahogany back and sides with a spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and ebony bridge. It has a cutaway as well as Fishman Aura VT Enhance electronics. The scale length is 25.4″ and the nut width is 1 3/4″.
The body binding on this guitar was re-glued in the waist after coming loose. This is unfortunately a common issue from this era with Martin. There is also a gap in the top binding in the cutaway but it looks stable. Beyond this, the guitar looks great. It has a few pinpoint dings and a couple of faint surface scratches when inspected closely. The back of the neck is moreglossy from playingthan the satin feel it left the factory with. There are no cracks or issues.
The guitar weighs 4lbs 2oz. The neck measures .835 to .940 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a modified low oval profile that feels great. The guitar has classic mahogany Martin tone with warm mids and colorful overtones. It has nice clarity and power with plenty of sustain. As intended, the cutaway and electronics make this one ready for gigging or studio use across genres.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the hang tag and paperwork.
