This PS14ce is built using Sinker redwood for the top paired with Honduran rosewood for the back and sides, all bound in Paua and held together with Taylor’s own V-Class bracing. The Presentation Series is for players who want a real centerpiece of their acoustic collection, one that will garner attention whenever its taken out – but also something that sounds incredible and will age gracefully as the tonewoods open up. Honduran rosewood is a very dense and hard rosewood, much harder than East Indian and sonically very similar to coveted Brazilian rosewood. Youll hear the warm low end and sparkling, chime-like trebles that youd expect from other rosewood species, along with a smoothness that stands out from other hardwoods.
