A Music Zoo x Gibson Custom Shop classic is back! This is a Chambered 1958 Les Paul Reissue with a torrefied flame maple top. Torrefied wood, also known as “roasted” wood is a process of removing excess moisture from the wood, in this case flame maple – to increase resonance and stability throughout weather chances, a healthy decrease in physical weight and a tone that’s more akin to a guitar that has aged over years to have characteristics more like our favorite vintage guitars.
This Historic Reissue ’58 Les Paul features a VOS Lemon Burst finish and two Double Classic White ’57 Classic humbuckers from Gibson. The chambering on this one brings it down to 6 lbs, 15 oz! WITH a chunky neck and an insane flame top? This is a perfect Les Paul!
