As with all guitars in Collings Traditional Series, when it came time to add a T designation to their range of slope-shoulder models, they didnt simply modify the original; the Collings CJ45 T is a completely redesigned instrument that offers a distinct tonal variation compared to their CJ and CJ35 models.
The body construction is strongly vintage-inspired and has been entirely redesigned, including new bracing contours and patterns. Combined with their latest T-Series neck design and the new CJ45 neck profile, the result produces a tone that is exceptionally dry and fundamental, with the growl and fullness sought after in the great slope-shoulder dreadnoughts of the wartime era.
