This is a great David Rawlings spec Epiphone Olympic from 1933. This guitar just feels completely solid- all the parts have been together for nearly a century and work together in harmony. All the notes across the neck are perfectly balanced and the treble strings have a rounded quality without any hint of tininess. It’s had a neck reset in the past and a fresh refret from Philadelphia Fretworks so it plays perfectly. This one has plenty of playwear but no cracks or damage. Nearly all the finish has been worn off from the neck so you know it’s a good one. All original. Another very cool feature which isn’t often seen on this model is the subtle dark pearloid headstock overlay. Comes with a later chipboard case. You would be hard pressed to find a better sounding or playing example.
