This is the new and exciting Dustie Waring DW CE 24 Floyd model from PRS! Originally only available as a limited edition – it’s now a production guitar that’s readily available with five exciting finishes; Waring Burst, Faded Blue Burst, Burnt Amber Smokeburst, and Gray Black. The guitarist designed it to his specs that a band as versatile as Between The Buried And Me requires – be it tonally versatile or physically dependable due to their touring needs. The guitar has a super strong maple neck with a Pattern Thin carve that has been shaped to Dustie’s preference which is slightly thinner than usual. It features a figured maple cap, mahogany body all with satin finishes and Dustie’s own Mojotown DW Tomahawk humbuckers. Made with a blend of Ceramic and Alnico magnets and a special winding technique, DW Tomahawks have plenty of output and big bottom end while remaining articulate and clear – a unique quality for high gain pickups. The knobs are also a special set which are heavier than usual, making sure that you don’t accidentally scootch them down to 7 or 8 when you need to stay at your utmost heaviest on 10! These are great instruments that players who want a Floyd Rose-equipped PRS will have plenty of fun and inspiration while playing.
