“I bought this guitar from Antero in 2009 after long meetings. Antero is a legend of Finnish guitar art, a wonderful player whose playing has been heard on many of our Finns beloved records. We spent several hours at his place on Kongontie talking and listening to sounds. He has documented the recordings and live performances made with this instrument, which he acquired in Copenhagen in 1974 at the insistence of Hector, with exceptional accuracy, so the guitar has a solid CV.

“In my own hands, this magnificent instrument has been heard, among other things, on Marko Hietala’s first solo album, the 2019 album Mustan sydn rovio, especially on the song Laulu sinulle For You. I will also talk about the instrument in the 5/2023 issue of Riffin, in the article elmni kitarat.
Also in the Hector cover Lehdetn puu written with Hietala, the Strato can be heard, as was also heard/seen in the Hector special episode of VE, where Hector also meets this old acquaintance.
